Humly is recruiting a Design & Technology Teacher to join a secondary school on a long-term basis. This is a full-time role starting 23/02/2026 and continuing until 17/07/2026. This role would suit a confident and adaptable practitioner who can deliver practical and theory-based lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4 while maintaining high standards of behaviour, safety, and pupil engagement.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Deliver engaging Design & Technology lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4
  • Plan and prepare practical and theory-based learning activities
  • Maintain high standards of behaviour and pupil engagement
  • Ensure a safe and inclusive learning environment
  • Assess and monitor pupil progress, providing feedback as appropriate

Pay

Paid to scale from day one: £168.80 – £232.57 per day

  • Enhanced DBS required (Humly can support with an Enhanced DBS at a cost to the educator)
  • Safeguarding & Rehabilitation of Offenders Act: All roles working with children are subject to appropriate safeguarding checks. This role is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974. Applicants will be required to declare relevant convictions in line with the Act
