Humly North West is acting as an employment business to recruit a versatile Teaching Assistant for a full-time Summer Term booking at a primary school in Carlisle, supporting across Year 1 and Year 6 from mid-May until the end of the academic year.

  • Experience working as a Teaching Assistant in a classroom setting
  • Confident supporting pupils across KS1 and KS2
  • Able to support early phonics, classroom routines and pupil engagement
  • Comfortable assisting with Year 6 transition work, projects and end-of-year activities
  • Flexible, reliable and able to adapt between different year groups
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to apply for one

Role Details:

  • Location: Carlisle
  • Pay Rate: £14.26 per hour
  • Schedule: Full-time, term time only
  • Dates: 18/05/2026 – 17/07/2026
  • Booking Type: Long-term booking for the Summer Term

You’ll be splitting your time between Year 1 and Year 6, supporting younger pupils with early learning and phonics while also helping older pupils with transition activities and classroom projects.
