Are you a Primary Teacher with QTS and confidence teaching French? This part-time role in Carlisle is a good opportunity for a teacher looking for a regular weekly slot across the full 2026/27 academic year. You’ll be teaching French to Key Stage 2 pupils across Year 3 to Year 6, helping make language learning engaging, interactive and accessible. The school would ideally like Thursday afternoons, but there may be some flexibility on the day.

- Location: Carlisle
- Pay Rate: £120-£150 daily rate, depending on scale and booking pattern
- AWR Pay Rate: From week 13 in the same role with the same hirer, where applicable, £168.80-£232.57 per day
- Schedule: Part-time - ideally Thursday afternoon, with some flexibility possible
- Start Date: 03/09/2026
- End Date: 15/07/2027
- Role Type: Temporary long-term booking for the academic year
What You’ll Be Doing
- You’ll be supporting KS2 pupils with:
- French lessons across Year 3, Year 4, Year 5 and Year 6
- Interactive language learning and speaking activities
- Building pupil confidence with basic vocabulary and pronunciation
- Planning and delivering engaging primary French sessions
- Making language learning fun, clear and accessible
- Working with school staff to maintain consistency across KS2
