We are seeking a dedicated and engaging KS4 English Teacher to join a college in Peterlee on a supply basis from March 2nd until the Easter break. This is an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic educator who is passionate about supporting learners and delivering high-quality English lessons.
Hours
- Monday: 8:30am - 4:30pm
- Tuesday: 8:30am - 4:30pm
- Wednesday: 8:30am - 2:30pm
- Thursday: 8:30am - 2:30pm
- Friday: 8:30am - 12:30pm
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver effective and inspiring English lessons to KS4 learners
- Plan and adapt resources to support a range of learning needs
- Maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment
- Assess and track student progress in line with college policies
- Work collaboratively with the English department and wider staff team
Requirements
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or relevant teaching qualification
- Experience teaching English at KS4 level
- Strong classroom management skills
- Ability to engage and motivate learners
- Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain one)
