Humly are working on behalf of a North East college, recruiting for a full-time, long-term Teacher/Business Studies Lecturer.
The Role
Are you a highly motivated and enthusiastic Business Studies Lecturer? We are seeking dedicated educators to inspire learners studying Business Studies at KS4 and KS5 (GCSE, A Level, or BTEC) within a school or college setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Teaching & Learning: Deliver engaging and effective Business Studies lessons using pre-set schemes of work and lesson plans.
- Assessment: Assess, record, and report on learner progress, achievement, and attainment in line with curriculum requirements.
- Classroom Management: Create a positive, inclusive, and well-managed learning environment where learners are motivated and supported to succeed.
- Curriculum Knowledge: Support learners' understanding of key Business Studies concepts such as finance, marketing, operations, and enterprise.
- Safeguarding: Uphold the institution's safeguarding policies and actively promote the welfare of all learners.
- Collaboration: Work effectively with teaching teams, share best practice, and communicate professionally with colleagues, parents, and carers where appropriate.
Requirements
- Proven experience teaching or supporting Business Studies in a secondary school or FE setting.
- Teaching qualification (QTS, QTLS).
- Strong behaviour and classroom management skills with a calm, professional approach.
- Commitment to continuous professional development and contributing positively to the wider education environment.
Successful candidates will be required to undergo an Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check.
