Humly are looking to recruit a dedicated and passionate Nursery Nurse to work in one of our Nurseries based in Sunderland. This role is set to start as soon as possible and is for the remainder of the academic year. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in early childhood education and experience working with children in a nursery setting. This role requires excellent communication skills, a nurturing attitude, and the ability to manage and lead young learners effectively. As a Nursery Nurse, you will play a vital role in creating a safe, stimulating, and engaging environment for children to learn and grow. The ideal candidate would be someone looking for full time work; however, they would consider job shares, so if you are looking for part time, please still express your interest!
Duties
- Provide high-quality care and education to children aged 0-5 years.
- Plan and implement age-appropriate activities that promote physical, emotional, and social development.
- Maintain a safe and clean nursery environment, ensuring all health and safety regulations are adhered to.
- Observe and assess children's development, keeping accurate records of their progress.
- Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding their child's development and any concerns that may arise.
- Collaborate with colleagues to create an inclusive atmosphere that supports all children's needs.
- Manage daily routines, including meal times, nap times, and play activities.
- Lead by example, demonstrating positive behaviour management techniques.
Qualifications
- Relevant qualifications in Early Childhood Education or Childcare (Level 2 or Level 3).
- Previous experience working in a nursery or childcare setting is essential.
- Strong management and leadership skills to guide junior staff members effectively.
- Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
- A genuine passion for working with children and supporting their development.
- Driving licence preferred for potential transport duties related to outings or activities.
