Primary School | Durham | Wednesday–Friday on an on-going basis. Humly Education are currently recruiting for a Teaching Assistant with British Sign Language (BSL) experience to join a welcoming primary school in Durham. This is a fantastic opportunity for an enthusiastic and supportive TA to work closely with pupils, helping to remove barriers to learning and ensuring every child can access and engage with their education. The Role: * Working Wednesday–Friday each week 8:30-3:30 * Supporting pupils across the primary setting * Using British Sign Language (BSL) to support communication and learning * Providing 1:1 and small-group support where required * Supporting pupils to develop confidence, independence and social skills * Working closely with teachers and other support staff The Ideal Candidate: * Has experience working as a Teaching Assistant or in a similar support role * Has British Sign Language skills and is confident using BSL in a school environment * Is patient, caring and adaptable * Has a genuine passion for supporting children and helping them reach their potential * Can build positive relationships with pupils and staff * Previous primary school experience is desirable What’s on Offer: * Part-time work Wednesday–Friday * A welcoming and supportive primary school * The opportunity to make a real difference to pupils' learning and development * Ongoing support from Humly throughout your placement * Competitive daily pay If you’re a BSL-skilled Teaching Assistant looking for a rewarding part-time role in Durham, we’d love to hear from you
