Job Description

Job Title: SEND Learning Support Assistant\\nLocation: Croydon, London\\nHours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am – 3:30pm\\nStart Date: 1st September 2025\\nContract Type: Full-time, Term-Time Only (Academic Year until 24th July 2026)\\nPay: £90 – £95 per day (PAYE)\\n\\nAre you passionate about making a real difference in the lives of young people with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)?\\n\\nAn outstanding specialist Secondary School in Croydon is seeking a dedicated SEND Learning Support Assistant to join their team from September. This is a rewarding opportunity to support students aged 11–19 with ASD in a nurturing, inclusive and supportive school environment.\\n\\nAbout the School\\n\\nThis school provides a safe and welcoming environment where students are encouraged to:\\n\\n * \\n\\n Learn at their own pace\\n\\n * \\n\\n Express themselves confidently\\n\\n * \\n\\n Develop communication and social skills\\n\\n * \\n\\n Build meaningful relationships\\n\\nKey Responsibilities\\n\\n * \\n\\n Support the learning, development and wellbeing of students with ASD\\n\\n * \\n\\n Work collaboratively with teachers and the therapy team to deliver tailored strategies\\n\\n * \\n\\n Assist with personalised educational programmes and interventions\\n\\n * \\n\\n Encourage independence, communication, and self-confidence in students\\n\\n * \\n\\n Contribute to a positive, respectful and inclusive classroom culture\\n\\nThe Ideal Candidate\\n\\n * \\n\\n Previous experience supporting children or young people with ASD/additional needs (desirable but not essential)\\n\\n * \\n\\n A patient, empathetic and resilient approach\\n\\n * \\n\\n A genuine passion for inclusive education and supporting young people to reach their potential\\n\\n * \\n\\n Reliability and commitment to supporting the full academic year\\n\\nImportant Information:\\n\\nHumly is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
