SEN Teaching Assistant – 1:1 ASD Support | Bromley

Location: Bromley, London
Start Date: September 2025 – July 2026
Hours: Monday to Friday | 8:30am – 3:30pm
Salary: Β£90 – Β£95 per day

We are working in partnership with a specialist SEN school in Bromley that caters to pupils aged 4–19 years with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and learning disabilities. The school is currently seeking a committed and experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to join their team from September, supporting primary-aged pupils on a 1:1 basis.

Responsibilities:

This is a full-time, term-time only role, ideal for someone with a genuine passion for supporting children with autism. Your responsibilities will include:

* Providing 1:1 support for pupils with ASD in a classroom setting

* Assisting with daily routines, transitions, and individualised learning activities

* Promoting communication, emotional regulation, and positive behaviour

* Working closely with teachers, therapists, and families to implement support plans

* Creating a nurturing and structured learning environment

Requirements:

* Proven experience working with children with ASD (essential)

* A calm, patient, and consistent approach to behaviour and communication

* Ability to build strong and trusting relationships with pupils and staff

* Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willing to apply)
