This specialist setting supports children and young people with a range of additional needs, including Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Physical Disabilities, and Complex Needs. This is a highly rewarding role for someone who is passionate about supporting young people with SEND to achieve their full potential.
Please note: the class is made up predominantly of male students, some of whom require personal care, so applicants must be comfortable and confident supporting with these needs in a professional and respectful manner.
The Role- Supporting students on a 1:1 basis and within small group settings
- Working closely with male students who may require personal care, including toilet support
- Supporting access to learning and encouraging independence and engagement
- Delivering support with dignity, empathy, and professionalism
- Promoting student wellbeing and maintaining a strong focus on safeguarding
- Working collaboratively with teachers and the wider support team
- Has experience working with children or young people with SEND (desirable but not essential)
- Is confident and comfortable supporting students with personal care needs
- Builds strong, positive relationships with students
- Is patient, resilient, and nurturing
- Has a genuine commitment to inclusive education
- Is available to work full-time, 5 days per week
