Raw Materials QA Humdinger, Sherburn in Elmet, LS25 6PJ

Position type: Permanent, Full-time

Hours: 37.5

Shift Pattern: Monday - Friday, 08:30 - 16:30

Pay range: £25,487 /annum

Breaks: 30 minutes

Closing date: Friday 29th May 2026

Responsibilities

  • Support daily intake of raw materials, ensuring timely assessment and release from quality hold
  • Monitor held stock and prioritise efficient clearance
  • Carry out quality checks and testing (e.g. size, shelf life, viscosity, weight, and micro-sampling) to ensure materials meet required standards
  • Complete routine sampling to support food safety and due diligence requirements
  • Review results against specifications and elevate any non-conformances
  • Work closely with Operations and Technical teams to resolve quality issues
  • Assist with laboratory testing and continuous quality improvements
  • Maintain procedures and ensure compliance with food safety and warehouse standards
  • Support internal audits and ensure adherence to customer and regulatory requirements

Qualifications

Essential:

  • Prior experience in a quality role within a fast-paced FMCG (Fast-Moving Consumer Goods) environment
  • Strong proficiency in English and Mathematics
  • Knowledge of pest control, supported by relevant training
  • Solid understanding of GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice) standards
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to perform effectively under pressure

Desirable:

  • Level 3 HACCP certification
  • Level 3 Food Hygiene qualification
  • Training in Segregation and Integrity
  • Experience with COP (Code of Practice) reviews
  • Proven track record in complaints reduction
