Job Details

Location: Humdinger, Heckington, NG34 9JH

Position type: Full‑time, permanent

Hours: 36 per week

Shift Pattern: 3 on, 4 off covering Monday‑Saturday (Monday‑Wednesday or Thursday‑Saturday) 12‑hour shifts, 1800 – 0600

Pay range: £16.14 per hour

Breaks: 3 x 20 minutes paid

Closing date: Friday 8 May 2026

Responsibilities and Qualifications

  • Assist in the safe, efficient and accurate running of the factory machine such as industrial roasting/frying machines.
  • Complete process control checks on machinery.
  • Complete various paperwork accurately and neatly.
  • Report breakdowns, working with the Engineering team.
  • Liaise with the quality teams and supervisors regarding any anomalies found whilst operating equipment.
  • Ensure the safety, legality and good standards of the production facility.
  • Role involves manual handling and lifting of ingredients up to 25kg.
  • Have an understanding of food safety – prior training such as Food Safety Level 2 is beneficial, and additional training will be provided by Humdinger.
  • Have machinery experience and mechanical knowledge.
  • Have good oral and written communication skills.
  • Have experience within a factory environment such as Production Operative, Line Leader, Machine Operative, General Operative, Machine Minder or Line Technician.
