This position would suit an individual who is keen to take their first step into the world of New Product Development within Food Manufacturing.

Position type: 3 months temporary, full-time

Hours: 37.5

Shift Pattern: Monday - Friday, 08:30 - 16:30

Pay range: £13.12 per hour

Breaks: 30 minutes

Closing date: Monday 6th July 2026

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare, cook, and pack product samples
  • Maintain NPD kitchen stock and organisation
  • Set up testing (gas, organoleptic, incubator) with accurate records
  • Support customer visits, factory trials, and product launches
  • Complete admin tasks such as filing, taking minutes, taking telephone messages, label making, courier bookings, and system updates (QAD)
  • Maintain accurate sample and documentation records

Qualifications

Essential:

  • Experience working in a food environment such as Restaurants, Cafés, Fast Food Chains
  • Passion for food
  • Ability to work alone
  • Quick learner
  • Adaptable and productive
  • Organised

Desirable:

  • Food Science/Food Technology Degree or equivalent
