The predicted salary is between 28000 - 36000 £ per year.

We are looking for someone to ensure compliance with both site and external requirements, including responsibilities such as conducting internal audits, managing site non-conformances, maintaining iAuditor compliance, supporting site validation projects, compiling site KPI information, meeting retailer and BRC standards and reviewing and investigating complaints.

Position type: Permanent Full-Time

Hours: 37.5

Shift Pattern: Monday - Friday, 0830 - 1630

Pay range: £32,000

Breaks: 30 minutes

Responsibilities:

  • Be involved in audits for retailers (e.g. Tesco, Waitrose, M&S, BRC), ensuring all actions are closed with appropriate corrective and preventative measures.
  • Manage and optimise the internal non‑conformance and audit systems via iAuditor, including data reporting, trend analysis, and the development of GMP and factory audit protocols.
  • Conduct regular site audits to ensure ongoing compliance and drive continuous improvement.
  • Conduct full GAP analyses against BRC standards and retailer codes of practice, ensuring timely implementation of any required changes.
  • Maintain up‑to‑date audit documentation aligned with the latest customer and BRC standards.
  • Lead TACCP and site security risk assessments, ensuring annual reviews and team relevance.
  • Deliver training on the iAuditor system to relevant staff.
  • Actively contribute to site improvement initiatives and KPI meetings, presenting relevant compliance and performance data.
  • Generate and maintain site KPI dashboards, including QFSI reports for internal and customer use.
  • Manage customer complaint investigations, ensuring cross‑functional involvement, action planning, and timely resolution.
  • Support site‑specific projects and ensure SOPs are created or updated for new or modified equipment.
  • Provide cover for the QA Manager during periods of absence.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in internal auditing, ideally within a food manufacturing environment.
  • Strong background in food production, with a minimum of Food Hygiene Level 2 certification.
  • Solid understanding of Customer Codes of Practice (e.g. retailer requirements).
  • Confident in working with external auditors, with the ability to manage expectations effectively.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills across all levels of the business.
  • Competent in using computer systems and digital audit platforms (e.g. iAuditor).
  • Highly organised and capable of working to strict deadlines in a fast‑paced environment.
