Position: Quality Auditor (Food Manufacturing) – Full‑time, Permanent, Sherburn (Elmet) – £31,960.00 per annum.
Key Information:
- Location: Sherburn, LS25 6PJ.
- Closing date: Friday 22nd May 2026.
- Paid breaks: 1 × 15‑minute + 1 × 30‑minute for 8‑hour shifts; 2 × 15‑minute + 1 × 30‑minute for 12‑hour shifts.
Shift Pattern:
- Nights – Sunday 1800‑0600 / Monday‑Thursday 2200‑0600
- Afters – Monday‑Thursday 1400‑2200
- Days – Monday‑Thursday 0600‑1400 / Friday 0600‑1800
Responsibilities:
- Conduct audits (PFS, Glass & Plastic, Cleaning Standards) and report findings promptly.
- Investigate Quality or Food Safety incidents, NCRs, and customer complaints; implement corrective actions using root cause analysis.
- Manage calibration, micro testing schedules, and food safety checks (ATP/allergen swabs).
- Support daily taste panels, technical tracker updates, and documentation for audits/complaints.
- Hold or repair out‑of‑spec products; sign off rework and raise waivers as needed.
- Ensure site calibration for scales and probes are completed.
- Testing and inspection of chocolate tankers where required.
- Deliver Critical Control Point (CCP) training and act as Quality Champion across the site.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a Quality Auditor in a food manufacturing environment.
- Knowledge of retailer standards.
- Internal auditing experience.
- Attention to detail.
- Strong administrative skills and use of Excel and Word.
- Strong communicator.
- Level 2 Food Safety certification.
- Level 2 HACCP certification.
