We are passionate about delivering exceptional customer experiences and are committed to maintaining a solid financial foundation. To support our expansion, we are currently seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Assistant Management Accountant to join our finance team.
As an Assistant Management Accountant at Humble Grape, you will play a pivotal role in maintaining the financial integrity of our wine and food focused business.
Main roles and responsibilities:
- Assist in the preparation of monthly management accounts
- Conduct monthly cost reviews, analysing and reviewing direct costs against orders
- Prepare weekly KPI reports
- Prepare and post monthly prepayment, accrual journals
- Prepare monthly balance sheet reconciliations
- Review bank reconciliations and EPOS transactions
- Reconcile control accounts
- Reconcile bank accounts (multi-currency)
- Maintain fixed asset register
- Prepare intercompany invoices and journals
- Assist with credit control
- Liaise with department heads to assist in cost management and tracking of actual spend against budget
- Manage the company credit card and petty cash functions
- Support the Management Accountant with ad hoc queries, analysis, and projects.
What Are We Looking for:
- Proven success in a similar role within a multi-site operation
- Intermediate Excel skills with strong attention to detail, numerical accuracy, and analytical skills
- Excellent communication skills for engaging with internal and external stakeholders both written and verbal
- Willingness to learn
- Experience of Xero (beneficial)
- Hybrid working with some office days for meetings and collaborative work
