Humble Grape is offering a rare and exciting opportunity for an experienced and driven Assistant General Manager to work in our mothership venue at Battersea. This is more than just a management role, it’s a development journey designed for someone ready to take the next big step into General Management.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Supporting GMs in delivering operational excellence across multiple locations
  • Upholding Humble Grape’s service, brand, and quality standards
  • Leading teams during peak service, resolving challenges on the go
  • Developing your leadership skills through structured coaching and exposure
  • Learning the ins and outs of P&L, team management, and site performance
  • Acting as a role model for team culture, guest engagement, and professionalism
  • Helping to cover gaps, support openings, and assist during high-volume periods

What We’re Looking For

  • Previous AGM (or equivalent) experience in a busy, quality-focused venue
  • Natural leadership with the ability to quickly adapt to new teams and environments
  • Passion for hospitality, people development, and guest satisfaction
  • Ambition to step into a General Manager role in the near future
  • Strong operational knowledge, commercial awareness, and service standard
  • Love for wine and great food (WSET qualifications are a bonus)
  • Flexibility to travel between Central London venues (travel expenses covered)
  • Full right to work in the UK
