Humble Grape Liverpool Street is looking for a passionate and driven Assistant Manager to join our team and help deliver the exceptional guest experience we're known for. This isn't just an operational role, it's a genuine stepping stone. We're looking for someone with ambition who wants to grow, learn the business from the inside, and build a clear path towards senior management.
Located in the heart of the City, our Liverpool Street venues are fast-paced, high-energy environments where great hospitality, strong leadership and attention to detail really matter.
What You'll Be Doing
- Supporting the General Manager and AGM in delivering smooth, high-quality daily operations
- Taking the lead on the floor during busy services and stepping up when it counts
- Championing Humble Grape's standards across wine, food and guest experience
- Coaching and developing the team, setting the tone for culture, professionalism and performance
- Building strong relationships with our guests and creating memorable experiences
- Gaining hands-on exposure to P&L, team scheduling, stock management and site performance
- Helping drive commercial results while never compromising on quality or hospitality
- Being a consistent, trusted presence that your team can rely on
- Supporting the GM in identifying opportunities to improve the operation and grow the business
What We're Looking For
- Previous supervisory or Assistant Manager experience within a quality-focused hospitality venue
- A natural leader who leads by example and brings out the best in people
- Genuine passion for hospitality, wine and creating memorable guest experiences
- Ambition to progress within the business and take on greater responsibility
- Strong operational awareness and the ability to stay calm and decisive under pressure
- Excellent communication and people skills
- An interest in wine, WSET qualifications are a bonus, but not essential
- Full right to work in the UK
