We are supporting a company who is seeking a dedicated Registered Service Manager to lead their 16+ Supported Accommodation service. You will be the "Fit Person" registered with Ofsted, responsible for ensuring the settings are safe, high‑performing, and deeply supportive.
Key Responsibilities
- Regulatory Leadership: Act as the Registered Manager, ensuring 100% compliance with the Supported Accommodation (England) Regulations 2023 and Quality Standards.
- Young Person Outcomes: Oversee high‑quality support planning, risk assessments, and independence pathways (education, employment, and life skills).
- Safeguarding Excellence: Serve as the Safeguarding Lead, maintaining robust protocols and a culture of "high challenge, high support."
- Team Development: Recruit, mentor, and supervise a team of Support Workers, fostering a trauma‑informed environment.
- Stakeholder Management: Build strong relationships with Local Authorities, Social Workers, and Commissioning teams.
About You (Requirements)
- Qualifications: Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (or equivalent) is essential (or evidence of working towards completion).
- Experience: Minimum 2 years’ experience in a management/supervisory role within children’s residential, supported accommodation, or leaving care (within the last 5 years).
- Knowledge: Expert understanding of the Ofsted inspection framework and "Fit Person" requirements.
- Leadership: Ability to demonstrate experience leading teams with evidence of reflective leadership and outcome‑focused practice.
- Character: Resilient, empathetic, and organized. You must pass an Enhanced DBS check and meet all regulatory "fitness" criteria.
