Do you want to make a difference in the lives of children? Help them to develop their independence and feel safe and valued? Humble Bee Homes are looking to recruit a dedicated and talented Registered Manager to oversee the operations of our new home in Leicester, LE4. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced manager with a passion for supporting children to become their best selves, promoting the wellbeing of the children within our home, and providing high quality care. The home will be registered for two children and will specialise in providing residential care for children with learning difficulties and ASD.

As registered manager:

  • You will be leading a team and inspiring them to achieve the highest possible outcomes, whilst ensuring compliance with all regulatory and statutory obligations.
  • You will be responsible for the overall running of the home, from a day-to-day perspective as well as future planning through managing the home’s budgets.
  • You will be accountable for ensuring that all the children within the home receive a supporting, nurturing and stable environment.
  • You will act as a positive role model to the children and staff team alike, building and maintaining trusting relationships.
  • You will be working alongside a range of professionals in order to provide the support needed for each individual child.

Requirements:

  • To have or be working towards a Level 5 in Leadership and Management (or the equivalent).
  • Level 3/4 Diploma in Residential Childcare or Children, Young People and Families Practitioner (or equivalent).
  • A minimum of 2 years managing/leading a team in a residential setting.
  • Experience of performing a range of roles within a children’s residential setting.
  • Strong knowledge of legislation around the care of children, including safeguarding and child protection.
  • Full UK driving Licence.
  • Right to work in the UK.
  • Ability to work flexibly and conduct on call duties as required.
