Humberside Fire & Rescue Service is seeking a highly motivated and experienced individual to join our Control team as a Watch Manager. This is a pivotal leadership role, responsible for managing a team within our Control function, ensuring operational readiness, and delivering exceptional service to our communities.
As a Watch Manager, you will lead and motivate your team, maintain high standards of performance, and ensure compliance with organisational policies and procedures. You will play a key role in emergency response coordination, resource management, and supporting strategic objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage a team within Control, ensuring training, performance, and motivation.
- Respond effectively to operational demands and maintain situational awareness.
- Deliver training on technical and procedural subjects.
- Implement effective team plans aligned with organisational objectives.
- Promote diversity, integrity, and a culture of continuous improvement.
- Maintain compliance with health & safety, data protection, and organisational policies.
- Liaise with internal and external agencies regarding equipment and systems.
- Identify and report faults, carrying out first-line maintenance where required.
