Contract: Full Time, Permanent.
Key Responsibilities:
- To engage with customers on a weekly basis to support individuals to secure, maintain and achieve independent living.
- To support with the assessment of housing applications, identifying support, risk and housing needs using a housing first approach, ensuring signposting is carried out where relevant to other specialist/housing or support providers.
- To support colleagues with property allocation and lettings; carrying out accompanied viewings, ensuring effective ‘sign-ups’ for tenants whilst selling the ethos of tenancy sustainment and responsibility.
- To carry out regular property inspections utilising existing checklists and procedures to ensure that all properties meet compliance and maintain an acceptable standard.
- To take appropriate action with regards to supporting customers to report any concerns within their home including essential repairs and maintenance.
- To provide a low-level support package to customers to ensure they build/maintain the skills required to achieve independent living.
- To utilise Humbercare’s support planning tools to identify areas of support required and work with customers to coproduce action plans to achieve.
- To ensure Chrysalis Housing properties are well presented and maintained by both our customers and Humbercare (in conjunction with the maintenance department).
- To provide a high-quality service; ensuring outstanding customer service and service delivery by acting as an ambassador for Humbercare and point of contact for customers.
- Engaging with customers to design services that work for them and utilising resources within the local area to make a real, quality difference to peoples' lives.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Educated to Level 3 Diploma or equivalent.
- Experience of working in a social care or social housing environment.
- Knowledge of tenant and landlord legislation.
- Knowledge of statutory and voluntary support agencies.
- Experience of working with others to achieve successful outcomes.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent time management skills and ability to effectively coordinate and manage a caseload.
- Willing to work towards a recognised housing management qualification.
- Current full driving licence and access to transport is desired but not essential.
