The predicted salary is between 21000 - 29000 £ per year.

We are currently advertising for a full-time Housing Officer on our Chrysalis service. Please note this role occasionally includes on-call duties in addition to the core hours. Humbercare’s Chrysalis Housing provides accommodation and a low level of support.

Responsibilities

  • To provide advice and support to all customers housed within Chrysalis’s Housing Property Portfolio.
  • To engage with customers on a weekly basis to support individuals to secure, maintain and achieve independent living, and to design services that work for them and utilise resources within the local area to make a real, quality difference to people's lives.
  • To ensure Chrysalis Housing properties are well presented and maintained by both our customers and Humbercare (in conjunction with the maintenance department).

Requirements

  • A sound understanding of the social housing environment including emerging government policy, welfare benefits and housing entitlements.
  • Experience of working in a social housing or similar environment along with knowledge of local statutory and voluntary agencies.
  • Ability to deal with difficult situations with tact and diplomacy.
  • Current full driving licence and access to transport is desired but not essential.
