Overview
Westbourne House are looking to fill a vacancy for a Catering Officer to join their team on a part-time basis of 30 hours per week. Salary: Β£19,656 per annum.
The role involves leading on some cooking classes, teaching essential independent living skills and cooking on a budget. It is a varied role with opportunities to make a difference to those most vulnerable and disadvantaged in our community, and to gain great levels of job satisfaction.
Responsibilities
The role will lead on the delivery of a well-balanced meal provision to service users, including:
- Menu planning
- Food ordering
- Meal preparation
- Food delivery three times daily
- Ensuring kitchen areas, food stock and storage meet Food Hygiene, Fire and Health and Safety Standards
Qualifications
A Level 2 Food Hygiene certificate is essential with the willingness to work towards a Level 3, as well as experience of working in a busy kitchen.
