To assist the Farm Manager in the day-to-day running of the broiler farm. To ensure the welfare of day-old chicks whilst maintaining the high standards of quality, hygiene, animal welfare and health and safety that are required.

  • Making sure welfare of birds is adhered to at all times
  • Support Farm Manager with paperwork, audits and day to day farm operation
  • Manage the farm in the absence of the farm manager
  • Day to day observation, walking, weighing of birds
  • Maintaining Biosecurity and cleanliness at all times
  • Maintain up to date records according to company policies and procedures
  • Staff management and training
  • Adhere to all codes of practice and bird welfare
  • Adhere to health and safety standards at all times
  • Answering alarm calls within company timescales
  • Undertake any other duties within farm operation as and when required
  • Be responsible for own training and development to keep up to date with industry standards
