We’re working with a well-established manufacturer who is looking for a Despatch Supervisor to join their team. This is a hands-on role where you’ll oversee daily dispatch operations, keep things running smoothly and maintain high standards across the warehouse. If you’re organised, confident in a fast-paced environment and enjoy keeping a busy operation in order, this could be a great fit.
What you’ll be doing:
- Taking in deliveries and accurately booking products into the system
- Preparing finished goods for despatch and arranging transport
- Liaising with transport providers and customers regarding delivery details
- Keeping the despatch and warehouse areas clean, safe and well-organised
- Tracking and maintaining financial information relating to transport and storage
- Maintaining accurate stock records and daily operational logs
What we’re looking for:
- Experience in a supervisory role within a warehouse environment (preferred)
- Strong understanding of health & safety in a manufacturing setting
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing is an advantage
- Excellent attention to detail and the ability to work under pressure
- Confident communicator who can work well with customers and internal teams
- Flexibility to work alternating shifts and occasional weekends
- Valid FLT licence or willing to work towards this
