We are looking to recruit up to 9 Locum consultant Anaesthetists. Various sub‑specialty interests can be accommodated such as neuro anaesthesia, obstetric anaesthesia, trauma anaesthesia, perioperative medicine, paediatric (including neonates) anaesthesia.
Main duties of the job:
- The consultant will be on a 1:8 to 1:20 rota.
- Provide an anaesthetic service in accordance with the agreed timetable and subsequent job plan.
- Consultant on call to cover various theatres at Hull Royal Infirmary site.
- Supervise trainee anaesthetic staff within the Trust.
- A standard full‑time Job Plan will contain 10 programmed activities (PAs) comprising 8 PAs for direct clinical care (DCC), 1 PA for General Consultant on call at HRI.
- 1 SPA is classed as ‘core’ and covers time for training, teaching, CPD, audit, appraisal, clinical governance and attendance at service meetings.
