Humber EC&I Ltd is looking to add a Control & Automation Engineer / EC&I Engineer to our growing engineering team. We’re open to applicants across a wide range of experience levels, from graduates and junior engineers through to experienced and senior engineers. We would also welcome applications from experienced electrical, controls or instrumentation technicians looking to take the next step into an engineering role.
The role will involve working across a broad range of industrial automation and EC&I projects, from initial design through to software development, testing, commissioning and site support.
Day-to-day responsibilities may include:
- Electrical and control system design using SEE Electrical
- Electrical layout drawings using AutoCAD / BricsCAD
- PLC software development using Siemens TIA Portal, Rockwell Studio5000 or Ecostruxure Machine Expert
- HMI and SCADA development using TIA Portal, FactoryTalk View Studio or AVEVA InTouch
- Producing control philosophies, I/O schedules, network architecture and technical documentation
- PLC, HMI, SCADA and control panel testing
- FAT, SAT and commissioning activities
- Fault finding and modification of existing control systems
- Supporting electrical, instrumentation and control projects from design through to site completion
- Working closely with project managers, electrical engineers, technicians and clients
