Here at Humanoid, we believe in a future where robots amplify human potential. That’s why we’ve set out on a mission to build the world’s most capable, commercially-scalable, and safe humanoid robots. We’re bringing that mission to life with HMND‑01 Alpha - our rapidly developed humanoid platform now running in real industrial pilots - and we’re growing the team to take it even further.

About the Role

As the Robotics Repair Centre Manager, you will manage our centralised technical repair operations. You are responsible for overseeing our Repair Centre, building a capable in-house repair team, and defining the technical service inventory strategy. You will work closely with other service leaders to ensure that our teams at customer sites are consistently supplied with tested, certified spare parts. By partnering collaboratively with our central Supply Chain team, you will help ensure the right parts are forecasted, available and at reasonable inventory cost, while fostering an interoperable service culture that spans from the repair bench to the customer site.

What You'll Do

  • Repair Area Leadership: Manage all in-house maintenance, rework, upgrade, and overhaul (MRO) activities. Define and continuously improve the processes and the physical layout of the Repair Area for safety, throughput, and high-quality standards.
  • Robots DHR (Device History Record): Own the DHR platform and process. Ensure every physical intervention is captured accurately to maintain a comprehensive digital history for every robot in the fleet. The "DHR Handshake": Define and maintain the process that tracks a robot's hardware history from a Field Service replacement event through to the subsequent in-house teardown and analysis.
  • Spare Parts Strategy & Module Fulfillment: Lead the demand forecasting and technical planning for all critical service spare parts. Partner seamlessly with the central Supply Chain organization to ensure parts are sourced and stocked to support efficient repair cycles. Act as the technical reviewer for service-related spare parts requests generated by other teams, ensuring they align with current engineering revisions and actual operational needs, while keeping in focus the agreed budget. Manage the service workflow for Field Replaceable Units (FRUs). Coordinate the intake of failed modules from the Field team and as well from our other offices, refurbish them in-house, and certify them for return to the active service inventory pool.
  • Team Development & Unified Career Pathing: Build and maintain the technical skills matrix for the In-House Repair team, identifying required competencies in mechatronics, firmware, and precision assembly. Lead the initiative to align this skills matrix with other Services groups (Serviceability Engineering, Remote Service, Field Service). Ensure technical language and competency levels are interoperable across the organization. Coordinate with other technical service leaders to define a unified career path, allowing technicians to develop and transition between In-House, Remote, and Field roles.
  • Quality & Escalation Coordination: Hold regular quality syncs with the Field Service team to monitor if field-repaired robots are returning to the Repair Centre, working together to address any training or process gaps. Coordinate with the Product Serviceability Engineer to provide operational feedback, relaying insights from in-house teardowns to assist in driving product improvements.

What We're Looking For

  • 5+ years of experience in technical service operations, manufacturing leadership, or MRO within high-complexity hardware environments (e.g., Robotics, Aerospace, Automotive, Medical Devices).
  • Leadership: Proven track record of managing technical teams, running physical repair/manufacturing floors, and defining technical career development paths.
  • Inventory & Systems: Experience in service-level demand forecasting, inventory management workflows, and successfully collaborating with central procurement or supply chain organizations.
  • Process Rigor: Deep familiarity with DHR/eDHR systems and maintaining strict documentation compliance.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience scaling operations in a startup environment, specifically transitioning a hardware product from low-volume prototypes to mass production.
  • Hands-on familiarity with mechatronic systems, high-DOF actuators, and complex electromechanical assemblies.

What We Offer

  • Meaningful time off to rest and recharge: 23 days of annual leave (accrued), 15 days of paid sick leave, and paid company holidays.
  • Fully funded private healthcare for UK employees, with broad provider access, virtual and in‑person care, and strong mental health and serious illness support.
  • Equity included–we believe builders should share in what they build.
  • Pension scheme with a total 8% contribution (5% employee, 3% employer) on full earnings.
  • Free daily breakfast, catered lunch, and snacks in‑office.
  • Collaboration with top‑tier engineers, researchers, and product experts in AI and robotics.
  • Freedom to influence the product and own key initiatives.
