Humanoid is the first AI and robotics company in the UK, creating the world’s most advanced, reliable, commercially scalable, and safe humanoid robots. Our first humanoid robot HMND 01 is a next-gen labour automation unit, providing highly efficient services across various use cases, starting with industrial applications.
Our Mission
At Humanoid we strive to create the world’s leading, commercially scalable, safe, and advanced humanoid robots that seamlessly integrate into daily life and amplify human capacity.
Vision
In a world where artificial intelligence opens up new horizons, our faith in its potential unveils a new outlook where, together, humans and machines build a new future filled with knowledge, inspiration, and incredible discoveries. The development of a functional humanoid robot underpins an era of abundance and well-being where poverty will disappear, and people will be able to choose what they want to do. We believe that providing a universal basic income will eventually be a true evolution of our civilization.
Solution
As the demands on our built environment rise, labour shortages loom. With the world’s workforce increasingly moving away from undesirable tasks, the manufacturing, construction, and logistics industries critical to our daily lives are left exposed. By deploying our general-purpose humanoid robots in environments deemed hazardous or monotonous, we envision a future where human well-being is safeguarded while closing the gaps in critical global labour needs.
About the Role
As Engineering Systems Programme Manager, you will take end-to-end ownership of the delivery of Humanoid’s engineering systems programme, covering PLM, CAD, and closely related engineering capabilities. Although the role sits within the IT organisation, you are accountable for the overall programme delivery, not just IT workstreams. You will lead a multi-workstream, engineering-facing transformation spanning PLM Phase 1 and Phase 2, coordinating Engineering, IT, external vendors, and system integrators to deliver tangible outcomes. This is a delivery-led role. You are expected to bring structure, momentum, and discipline to a complex engineering systems landscape, operating confidently in a matrixed environment and driving progress through influence rather than formal line authority.
Role Context & Interfaces
Interfaces with ERP delivery where dependencies exist, while remaining focused on the PLM and engineering systems scope. Acts as Programme Manager for the Engineering Systems programme. Reports into IT for governance and alignment, while delivering with and through Engineering. Works closely with:
- Programme Owner
- Engineering leadership and wider team
- PLM workstream
- CAD / eCAD workstream
- Data & Integrations Architect
- External vendors and system integrators
What You’ll Do
- Programme Ownership & Delivery
Own end-to-end delivery of the Engineering Systems programme across defined phases. Establish and maintain a clear, integrated programme plan aligned to the agreed roadmap, scope and schedule. Drive delivery across multiple concurrent workstreams, including PLM, CAD, integrations, and engineering data foundations. Ensure scope, milestones, dependencies, risks, and issues are managed proactively and effectively. - PLM & Engineering Systems Delivery
Lead delivery of PLM Phase 1 capabilities, including CAD vaults, EBOM, part libraries, lifecycle management, access controls, and initial integrations. Coordinate planning and execution of PLM Phase 2 capabilities, including change management, document management, MBOM, supplier-related data, and extensions. Ensure engineering systems are delivered in a way that supports current engineering needs and future manufacturing and ERP integration. - Vendor & Partner Management
Act as the primary delivery interface with PLM and engineering systems vendors and implementation partners. Hold internal teams and external vendors accountable to agreed scope, timelines, and quality expectations. Challenge delivery approaches constructively and confidently, where required, to protect programme outcomes. - Integration & Dependency Management
Coordinate closely with the Data & Integrations Architect to ensure integrations are designed and delivered in line with agreed architectural standards. Manage dependencies between PLM, CAD, engineering systems, and downstream systems. Ensure integration scope is planned, sequenced, and delivered coherently. - Stakeholder & Engineering Engagement
Engage directly with engineering teams to ensure requirements are understood, prioritised, and translated into deliverable scope. Balance engineering usability, governance, and delivery pragmatism. Manage expectations and decisions across technical and non-technical stakeholders. Work closely with Engineering Delivery leadership to ensure reliable and committed resource commitments. - Governance, Risk & Quality
Ensure testing, readiness, and cutover activities are planned and executed to an appropriate standard. Establish and operate appropriate programme governance. Identify and manage risks, issues, and trade-offs proactively.
We’re Looking For
- Essential
Proven experience delivering PLM programmes and broader engineering systems scope in complex environments. Experience operating as a Programme or Senior Project Manager across multiple workstreams. Firm grounding on PLM, CAD, and engineering systems and data concepts. Experience working with engineering stakeholders in product-led or manufacturing environments. Ability to operate effectively in a matrixed organisation without direct line authority. Strong vendor and systems integrator management capability. Highly organised, execution-focused, and comfortable driving delivery under ambiguity. Strong conviction and confidence in delivering on-time, utilising all project management levels to tackle resource contention and risk/issue management. Clear communicator with the confidence to challenge and make decisions. - Desirable
Strong grounding on modern PLM platforms and CAD ecosystems, and in particular Siemens TC & NX, and Altium. Exposure to ERP–PLM integration dependencies. Experience in scale-up or fast-growth engineering organisations.
What We Offer
Competitive salary plus participation in our Stock Option Plan. Paid vacation with adjustments based on your location to comply with local labour laws. Travel opportunities to our Boston and Vancouver offices. Office perks: free breakfasts and lunches. Freedom to influence the product and own key initiatives. Collaboration with top-tier engineers, researchers, and product experts in AI and robotics. Startup culture prioritising speed, transparency, and minimal bureaucracy.
