  • Manage entity setup: Manage the setup, accounting, and ongoing operation of new entities as the group expands into additional markets.
  • Ensure accurate books: Ensure accurate, timely, and complete books and records across all entities, with robust controls and clear ownership.
  • Intercompany & Transfer Pricing
  • Build the intercompany framework: Set up and operate the intercompany framework - agreements, charges, settlements, and reconciliations across the group.
  • Lead transfer pricing: Design and implement transfer‑pricing policies and documentation in partnership with the tax team, and ensure they are correctly reflected in the accounts.
  • Manage eliminations: Manage intercompany eliminations and ensure consistency across entity and group reporting.
  • Consolidation & Financial Reporting
  • Own consolidation: Own the consolidation of entity reporting into accurate group financial statements on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.
  • Lead the close: Lead the global month‑end and year‑end close, driving speed, accuracy, and continuous improvement in the process.
  • Prepare financial statements: Prepare group and entity financial statements under IFRS / GAAP, and manage external audits end to end.

  • Leverage AI tools: Leverage AI tools to automate close, reconciliation, and reporting processes, improving efficiency and accuracy.
  • Build controls: Design and maintain a strong internal‑control environment and accounting policies, building toward audit‑and‑IPO‑readiness.
  • Build the team: Build and lead a high‑performing global accounting team as the function grows.

What We're Looking For

  • CPA or CA qualification is required.
  • Extensive controllership / accounting experience, including managing accounting across multiple international entities and currencies.
  • Proven experience setting up intercompany and transfer‑pricing frameworks and consolidating multi‑entity reporting.
  • Strong technical accounting knowledge under IFRS and/or US GAAP, and experience managing external audits.
  • Hands‑on experience with SAP for accounting and consolidation.
  • Experience using AI tools to streamline accounting, close, and reporting processes.
  • Experience across both startups and public companies, with the range to operate at startup pace and to public‑company standards.
  • Direct experience scaling a company through to IPO, building the accounting function and controls required for a public listing.
  • A builder's mindset - able to stand up processes, controls, and systems in a fast‑moving, high‑growth environment.
  • Experience with the specific jurisdictions in scope - US, UK, Canada, and Germany.
  • Experience in a venture‑backed, high‑growth startup or scale‑up, ideally in hardware, robotics, deep tech, or manufacturing.
  • Familiarity with SOX‑style control environments and public‑company reporting cadence.
  • Experience building and leading distributed accounting teams.
