Humanoid is the first AI and robotics company in the UK, creating the world’s most advanced, reliable, commercially scalable, and safe humanoid robots. Our first humanoid robot HMND 01 is a next-gen labour automation unit, providing highly efficient services across various use cases, starting with industrial applications.
At Humanoid we strive to create the world’s leading, commercially scalable, safe, and advanced humanoid robots that seamlessly integrate into daily life and amplify human capacity.
As the demands on our built environment rise, labour shortages loom. With the world’s workforce increasingly moving away from undesirable tasks, the manufacturing, construction, and logistics industries critical to our daily lives are left exposed. By deploying our general-purpose humanoid robots in environments deemed hazardous or monotonous, we envision a future where human well-being is safeguarded while closing the gaps in critical global labour needs.
As ERP Functional Lead (Finance & Procurement), you will act as the design authority for Humanoid’s ERP solution, with deep, hands-on ownership of Finance and Procurement and overarching responsibility for solution integrity across the wider ERP landscape. This role sits within the IT organisation and partners closely with the ERP Programme Manager and Business Process Owners.
You are expected to have deep process and hands-on configuration expertise in Finance and Procurement, while shaping and governing additional functional areas through third-party specialists or future team members who will report into you as the programme evolves. This is a critical role requiring strong judgement, breadth, and execution bias, not a theoretical architect or a narrow finance specialist.
- Primary design counterpart to Finance and Procurement leadership
- Functional authority for system integrators and third-party consultants
- Works in close partnership with:
- ERP Programme Manager (delivery ownership)
- Data Architect (data foundations and analytics)
- IT Ops, Security, and ITSM leads (operability and controls)
- Business Process Owners
What You’ll Do
- ERP Design Authority
- Act as the functional and solution design authority for ERP across all domains.
- Own end-to-end functional design for Finance and Procurement, including configuration standards and design principles.
- Ensure consistency, integrity, and scalability of the overall ERP solution.
- Review, challenge, and sign off solution designs produced by system integrators.
- Lead design and configuration across core Finance and Procurement processes, including:
- Record to Report (GL, AP, AR, Assets, period close)
- Core controlling and cost structures
- Procure to Pay (requisitioning, purchasing, goods receipt, invoicing, payments)
- Master data structures and governance
- Provide informed functional leadership on ERP technical and architectural decisions, including:
- ERP extensibility approaches within modern cloud ERP platforms
- Use of platform extension and integration frameworks (e.g. side-by-side extensions, APIs, event-based integration)
- Integration patterns and their impact on core ERP design, upgradeability, and long-term maintainability
- Provide functional oversight of data models and migration approach.
- Ensure data structures, ownership, and quality expectations are clear and enforced.
- Support audit, controls, and segregation-of-duties design, with a strong understanding of financial control implications.
- Ensure compliance considerations are embedded into functional design, not retrofitted.
- Define and own the functional testing strategy, including test scenarios and acceptance criteria.
- Review and sign off functional test results delivered by the system integrator.
- Ensure defects are prioritised appropriately based on business and control impact.
- Work closely with the ERP Programme Manager to sequence design, build, and testing activities.
- Provide clear, timely inputs to enable delivery momentum.
- Support structured decision-making by articulating functional options, trade-offs, and implications.
- Over time, build and lead a broader ERP functional team as required.
- Act as the functional authority for third-party consultants and specialists.
- Contribute to shaping the future ERP functional capability as the landscape grows.
What We Offer
- Competitive salary plus participation in our Stock Option Plan
- Paid vacation with adjustments based on your location to comply with local labor laws
- Travel opportunities to our Boston and Vancouver offices
- Office perks: free breakfasts and lunches
- Freedom to influence the product and own key initiatives
- Collaboration with top-tier engineers, researchers, and product experts in AI and robotics
