About the Role

To work as part of the Forward Leeds Young Persons Team to deliver drug and alcohol related interventions for young people (up to 21 years or 24 years depending on vulnerability) across Leeds. Work delivered will be outreach so based in schools, colleges, Youth Justice Centres and Community Venues.

Responsibilities

  • Case Management: Be the driving force behind the drug and alcohol treatment journeys of young adults. Conduct assessments, develop personalised care plans, and deliver interventions that truly make a difference.
  • Community Promotion: Amplify our services within the community by building strong relationships with local organisations. Empower young adults and their families through engaging education and awareness sessions.
  • Quality Assurance: Maintain the highest standards of care by implementing and adhering to service policies and procedures. Conduct thorough audits and keep meticulous records.

Qualifications

  • Youth Work experience with young people who are care or care leavers or those with lived independently.
  • College or University background, experience in educational settings, significant advantage.
  • Compassionate and Supportive: Exceptional interpersonal skills, non‑judgmental and empathetic approach.
  • Team Player: Thrive in a collaborative environment, engaging in team meetings, supervision, and professional development.
  • Self‑Motivated and Resilient: Initiative, adaptability, ability to thrive under pressure.

Requirements

Valid driver’s licence and access to own vehicle is essential.
