Overview

The Commercial Manager receives direction from the Regional Commercial Director in defining, orchestrating, and executing business strategies to maximize profitability in the appointed segment of the business. The Country Commercial Manager is expected to lead a dedicated team from the intersection of customer experience and business performance.

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with the Regional Commercial Director to define and understand target market, brand positioning, and potential growth opportunities within the market.
  • Lead a team of dedicated resources to collectively achieve Objectives and Key Results (OKRs) for the specified brand(s) within the Swedish markets.
  • Manage revenue and operational costs within the region and oversee the bonus strategy and budget.
  • Provide direction and receive consultation from teams including: Marketing – Acquisition, Retention, Conversion, Brand; Compliance; Product Development; Customer Service; Legal and Finance; Product Operations; E-Commerce.
  • Monitor, report on, and drive progress of the specified brand(s) within the region versus monthly, quarterly, and annual targets.
  • Foster cross-department communication to ensure alignment toward established business objectives.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to develop regional product priorities, business strategies, and requirements.
  • Contribute to core strategies across all verticals (marketing, customer service, etc.) and assist in the creation and execution of cross-product campaigns and programs.
  • Work with Brand Managers, Product Operations, and Customer Service teams to ensure websites are up-to-date with relevant event marketing and promotional messaging.

Requirements

  • Be a native Swedish speaker or C1/C2 equivalent
  • Have a minimum of 2 years demonstrable experience growing markets such as Sweden
  • Awareness of market compliance frameworks including collaboration with regulatory, compliance and legal teams
  • Proven experience working with remote, international teams
  • Experience in a business management, account management, or senior marketing role
  • Post-secondary education or related equivalent experience
  • Strong business acumen and decisive, focused decision making
