About Young Humanists
Young Humanists is the 18‑35 section of Humanists UK, committed to promoting tolerance, empathy, and reason. We work to raise awareness of humanism among young people and give them a national voice on issues that matter to them.
Role Overview
We are looking for an enthusiastic Ambassador in the York area to work with our local group, York Humanists. The Ambassador will liaise with humanist/atheist student societies and other relevant groups such as skeptics, ensuring the needs of 18‑35‑year‑old non‑religious people in and around York are met.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate with the local Group and other community organisations to promote young humanist participation.
- Represent the voice of young humanists in local events and discussions.
- Support recruitment of new young volunteers and ensure diversity inclusion.
Qualifications & Expectations
- Passion for representing young humanists in the community.
- Excellent communication and networking skills.
