Role Description
This is a contract, on-site role in Walsall for an English Second Language Tutor. The tutor will be responsible for providing English language instruction, designing engaging lesson plans and activities tailored to students' individual needs, and evaluating progress to support language development. They will also provide feedback, foster an inclusive learning environment, and encourage students to reach their language goals effectively.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in English Teaching, Teaching English as a Foreign Language, and general Teaching methodologies
- Experience in Tutoring and Online Tutoring
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to tailor lessons to meet a variety of learning styles and needs
- Patience, empathy, and cultural sensitivity
- TEFL, TESOL, or CELTA certification (preferred)
- Bachelor’s degree in Education, English, or a related field (preferred but not mandatory)
- Previous experience teaching English as a second language is an advantage
