Our client is a well established accountancy and business advisory firm in the South East, operating as part of a wider professional services group. They are seeking an experienced Tax Manager to join their Tax Advisory team. The role will be based primarily in Worthing, with flexibility to work from home and access to additional offices in the surrounding region.

The successful individual will advise a diverse portfolio of clients across a broad range of corporate and personal tax matters.

Key Responsibilities
  • Providing clear, practical tax advice to a portfolio of clients while developing strong and trusted client relationships.
  • Working closely with colleagues across the wider business, including Business Services and Audit teams, to deliver a range of tax related projects.
  • Managing and reviewing complex corporation tax compliance work and advising on matters such as corporate restructures, EMI schemes, and tax planning for owner managed businesses.
  • Advising owner managed businesses on areas including remuneration planning, succession planning, capital gains tax, and inheritance tax mitigation.
  • Delivering specialist tax advice across a range of scenarios, including profit extraction strategies, management buy outs, and broader business lifecycle planning.
  • Supporting the development of junior team members through line management, mentoring, and regular feedback.
Requirements
  • Experience advising SME clients and their business owners across both corporate and personal tax.
  • CTA qualified is desirable, although ATT or ACA qualified candidates with relevant experience will also be considered.
  • Strong technical knowledge across a broad range of tax areas.
  • Confident communicator with the ability to build effective client relationships.
  • Proactive, organised, and committed to delivering high quality advisory work.
  • Experience supporting and developing junior team members is advantageous.
