Our client, a growing and innovative technology organisation based in Oxfordshire, is entering an exciting phase of development. As the business continues to scale, they are seeking an experienced HR & Recruitment Manager to take ownership of the people function and lead its evolution.

Operating within a complex, project-driven technical environment, our client values both commercial performance and the wellbeing of its people. Historically, elements of HR have been managed across the leadership team. Now, the business is ready for a dedicated expert to centralise, strengthen and modernise its HR strategy.

You will work closely with senior leaders and department managers, balancing day-to-day operational HR with longer-term strategic planning.

  • Own and develop the HR function and build scalable systems that support continued growth.
  • Design and refine HR policies by reviewing existing processes and implementing structured, forward-thinking frameworks aligned to best practice.
  • Lead end-to-end recruitment across technical and commercial roles, including international hiring where required.
  • Create a high-impact onboarding experience that sets new hires up for long-term success.
  • Strengthen learning and development by collaborating with department leaders to implement a cohesive training framework.
  • Oversee performance and development systems, enhancing review processes and competency planning.
  • Champion compliance and best practice by ensuring adherence to UK employment legislation and data protection requirements.
  • Support and coach managers, providing practical HR guidance that builds leadership capability.

You might currently be an HR Manager, People Manager, HR Business Partner, or Talent and HR Lead looking for broader ownership and strategic impact. Experience within a commercial or project-led environment. Strong recruitment experience, including managing complex or specialist hiring needs. Confidence advising managers on employee relations matters. Experience developing HR processes, policies and performance frameworks. Confidence using Microsoft Office and modern recruitment platforms.
