We’re working with a long-established, financially stable UK business operating in a complex, regulated environment. They’re investing in how data supports Finance and core operations and now need a Database Engineer to take ownership of their data warehouse and help shape its next phase.
This is a hands-on role with real responsibility. You won’t be siloed, you’ll work closely with IT, Finance and business stakeholders to turn requirements into practical, high-quality data solutions.
What you’ll be doing:
- Owning and optimising the existing data warehouse
- Improving performance, reliability and data quality
- Building and maintaining data pipelines from multiple systems
- Developing scalable data models to support reporting
- Supporting the evolution towards a more modern data architecture

Essential:
- Strong SQL experience in a production environment
- Experience with data warehousing, modelling or ETL
- Comfortable improving data quality and consistency
- Confident working with non-technical stakeholders
Nice to have:
- Azure / Microsoft data tools, ERP systems, Jet Analytics, Fabric, DAX or Power BI.
