Technical Product Manager / Software Product Lead Can you bring structure, clarity and momentum to complex software delivery? Our client is looking for an experienced Technical Product Manager , Software Product Lead , Product Owner or Technical Business Analyst to join a growing engineering-led business as it strengthens its software product delivery capability. This is a permanent opportunity for someone who can bring customer focus, delivery discipline and practical product thinking into a highly capable technical environment. You will help translate customer requirements into clear user stories, product priorities, tickets, milestones and delivery plans, enabling the software team to build with greater confidence, pace and commercial focus. Our client already has strong technical and R&D capability, with a software team that is highly capable and close to complex technical systems. The next step is to create more structure around product delivery, customer requirements and software prioritisation. You will play a key role in helping the team move from an R&D-led environment into a more defined product delivery model. That means working closely with software engineers, product design, R&D specialists, senior stakeholders and customers to understand what needs to be built, why it matters and how it can be delivered effectively. This role gives you the chance to have a real impact on how software products are shaped, prioritised and delivered. Turn customer, commercial and technical requirements into clear software deliverables Shape the software product roadmap and help bring greater visibility to future development Prioritise the backlog around customer value, commercial urgency and technical feasibility Support sprint planning, delivery tracking and progress visibility Work closely with software engineers, R&D engineers, product design and senior stakeholders Help define what “good” looks like for software product delivery Improve visibility around dependencies, risks, blockers and timelines Help reduce bottlenecks by owning day-to-day requirement breakdown and prioritisation You may currently be working as a Technical Product Manager , Software Product Lead , Product Owner , Technical Business Analyst , Agile Delivery Lead , Software Delivery Manager or Product-Focused Engineering Lead . You may also have started your career in software engineering, technical analysis or delivery before moving into product management. Software product delivery in a technical, engineering, scientific, industrial, hardware, device, medtech or manufacturing environment Windows-based software products, desktop applications or software linked to physical products Technical environments involving Python, C#, .NET or similar technologies Translating complex technical requirements into practical development plans Agile delivery, sprint planning, backlog management and user story creation Testing, validation, release processes or customer acceptance What matters most is your ability to understand technical complexity, ask the right questions, communicate clearly and help teams deliver valuable software. Can balance commercial urgency with technical quality It is a role for someone who wants to get close to the detail, support the team and help build a more mature product delivery rhythm over time. The salary is expected to be in the region of £70,000 to £80,000 , depending on experience. Our client is open to speaking with candidates who can bring strong technical product management, software delivery and stakeholder management experience. The role is likely to suit someone who can be on site regularly, particularly while building relationships with the team and understanding the product environment. Flexibility may be available depending on experience and working arrangements.
