As they continue to grow, they are looking for an Electrical Design & Controls Engineer to join their experienced engineering team and play a key role in delivering bespoke automation and control systems for customers across the UK and internationally. This is a varied and hands-on engineering position where you'll have the opportunity to:
- Design electrical control systems for advanced automation and manufacturing equipment.
- Create detailed electrical schematics, panel layouts, wiring plans, and technical documentation using industry-standard CAD software.
- Develop control architectures and contribute to automation strategies for innovative projects.
- Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary engineering teams to deliver projects from concept through to installation.
- Work with PLCs, industrial communications networks, and automation technologies.
- Support machine builds, electrical testing, and commissioning activities.
- Travel occasionally to customer sites within the UK and overseas to help integrate and support new systems.
- Build expertise across a diverse range of automation technologies and manufacturing environments.
- Contribute to projects that help shape the future of modern manufacturing.
You may already be an experienced Electrical Design Engineer, Controls Engineer, Automation Engineer, or Electrical Systems Engineer looking for your next challenge.
- Electrical design within industrial or manufacturing environments.
- AutoCAD Electrical or similar electrical CAD platforms.
- Electrical panel design and control system development.
- Industrial automation technologies and control systems.
- Industrial communication protocols such as Profinet, Profibus, EtherNet/IP, TCP/IP, OPC, IO-Link, or similar.
- PLC programming and controls engineering.
- Working collaboratively within project-based engineering teams.
Experience with robotics, advanced automation systems, or a relevant engineering degree would be advantageous, but not essential. If you have transferable skills and a strong technical foundation, we'd encourage you to apply.
