Want to take ultrafast laser technology from the lab into real-world systems? Our client is growing its laser development team and is looking for an Ultrafast Laser Scientist to work on the development of advanced short-pulse laser systems.
This is a hands-on opportunity combining laser physics, experimental development, modelling and system optimisation, with a strong focus on turning advanced concepts into robust, repeatable technology.
- Characterise laser performance and investigate opportunities for improvement
- Develop models of laser and amplifier behaviour using tools such as Python, MATLAB or LabVIEW
- Building, aligning and troubleshooting complex optical systems
A background in physics, photonics, optical engineering or a related area would be particularly relevant, whether developed through a PhD, industry or substantial hands-on laser experience.
