We are seeking a caring and compassionate Domiciliary Care Worker to provide high-quality care and support to clients in their own homes in Wakefield, Leeds, and Bradford. As a Domiciliary Care Worker, you will work closely with clients to assist with their daily living needs, promoting independence and well-being.
Responsibilities:
- Provide personal care and support to clients, including assistance with bathing, dressing, and using the toilet
- Assist with medication administration, meal preparation, and household tasks
- Promote clients' independence and well-being, encouraging them to maintain their daily routines and activities
- Support clients with mobility and transfer needs, using hoists and equipment as required
- Maintain accurate records of client care and communication with the care team
- Develop and maintain positive relationships with clients, families, and care staff
- Work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development to enhance skills and knowledge
Requirements:
- Level 2 or 3 NVQ / Diploma in Health and Social Care (or equivalent)
- Care Certificate
- Experience working in a care setting, preferably in a domiciliary care environment
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Compassionate and empathetic approach to care
- Basic life support training (or willingness to obtain)
- Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain)
- Valid driver's license (for some roles)
