A bit about Forest

We’re Forest. You know, those shared ebikes in London that look like trees. We’re London’s most sustainable shared ebike operator. We bridge the gap between affordability and sustainability, using advertising revenue to offer all users 10 minutes of free cycling every day. Our mission is to help cities move greener, and make a genuine difference in how people travel around London. We’re a small, passionate team working hard to build a culture where people feel supported, valued, and empowered to do their best work.

We’re now looking for a People & Team Assistant to join us and play a key role in shaping that culture. If you’re organised, people-focused, and excited about learning all aspects of HR in a fast-moving environment, this could be the perfect opportunity for you.

A bit about the role

This role is varied, people-facing, and central to how Forest runs day to day. You’ll work closely with the Head of People and be the friendly face and first point of contact for staff queries, while also keeping our People operations smooth and our workplace vibrant.

Your key responsibilities include:

  • Recruitment & Hiring: Screening CVs, scheduling interviews, managing candidate interactions, and ensuring every candidate has a positive experience
  • Onboarding: Sending contracts, completing Right to Work checks, and setting up new joiners for success
  • HR Administration: Maintaining personnel files on our HR system (HiBob), supporting HR reporting, benefits administration, and managing employee queries with care and empathy
  • Culture & Engagement: Supporting with organising socials, All Hands and events that bring people together and strengthen our team culture
  • Office Management: Keeping our co-working space and warehouse tidy and organised, liaising with suppliers such as our outsourced IT team
  • Ad hoc Team Support: Helping with travel arrangements and other ad hoc administrative tasks that keep the team running smoothly

Who you are:

  • Passionate about people and creating the most supportive environment possible
  • Highly organised, adaptable, and quick to learn
  • Solution-focussed mindset
  • Able to thrive in a fast-paced environment and not afraid of ambiguity
  • Experienced with 1-2 years in an HR environment, such as a recruitment, coordination or generalist role
  • Excited to grow your People career in a mission-driven team.
