A bit about Forest

We’re Forest. You know, those shared ebikes in London that look like trees. We’re London’s most sustainable shared ebike operator. We bridge the gap between affordability and sustainability, using advertising revenue to offer all users 10 minutes of free cycling every day. Our mission is to help cities move greener—and we’re growing fast.

A bit about the role

We’re on the lookout for a hands-on, practical Operations Associate to support the daily running of our eBike fleet. This role is all about execution - we need people who get stuck in, take ownership of problems, and don’t rest until things are sorted. Whether it\'s swapping batteries, relocating bikes, responding to parking bay alerts or dropping vans off at the garage, you’ll be trusted to keep things moving - and to get it done.

You’ll be based at our warehouse in Elephant and Castle, right at the heart of our London operations. Forest is a London-born company, and our whole team, from operations to leadership, lives and breathes this city. We care deeply about delivering an outstanding service to our users and boroughs, and we back people who care as much as we do. If you\'re someone who takes pride in doing things properly and leaving no task unfinished, there\'s real room to grow with us.

Schedule:
This is a full-time position on a 45-hour week contract, with rotating shifts including some weekends. Flexibility is key as we manage our fleet 7 days a week, and no two days look exactly the same.

Your key responsibilities include:

  • Garage Coordination: Work with local garages and recovery services to arrange repairs and servicing of our vehicles, keeping our van fleet healthy.
  • Driving & Van Duties: Drive our vans confidently across London, supporting all aspects of field operations.
  • Battery Swapping & Bike Movement: Get out on the road, swapping batteries and moving bikes using our electric vans. Keeping the city moving is our bread and butter.
  • Admin Support: Stay on top of critical admin like parking notices, insurance paperwork, and vehicle records - dot the i’s and cross the t’s.
  • Inventory & Equipment Handling: Help manage and organise essential supplies like batteries and parts in the warehouse.
  • Jumping In Where Needed: Support the operations team wherever needed, especially when things get busy or unexpected challenges arise.
  • Van Upkeep & Maintenance: Ensure regular servicing and timely maintenance of our fleet of electric vans, coordinating repairs and inspections as needed to maintain optimal performance and safety. Keep accurate records of vehicle health and proactively address any issues to minimise downtime.

Who you are:

  • You’re a doer - you finish what you start and never walk away from a half-done job.
  • You take pride in your work, whether it’s on the road, in the warehouse, or behind a desk.
  • You have a valid UK driver’s licence and feel confident driving vans up to Sprinter size.
  • You’re organised and reliable, with strong attention to detail.
  • You’re comfortable with mobile apps and technology - quick to pick up tools and systems.
  • You work well in a team and are keen to grow, with a willingness to learn new skills
