We are seeking skilled and experienced Crane Engineers to join a team in key locations across the UK and Ireland.
About the Role
As a Port Crane Engineer, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our port cranes, including STS, RTG, and mobile harbour cranes. You will be responsible for performing routine maintenance, repairs, and inspections to minimize downtime and maximize productivity. Responsibilities
- Experience of working on either STS, RTG, or mobile harbour cranes
- Strong technical aptitude and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Valid certification in crane operation and maintenance (e.g. CPCS, IPAF)
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively
Qualifications
- NVQ level 3in electrical or Mechanical Engineering or related field
- 2+ years of experience in crane maintenance
- Experience working in a similar industry (e.g. oil and gas, construction)
Required Skills
- Experience with crane electrical systems and control systems
- Knowledge of safety protocols and regulations (e.g. LOLER, PUWER)
- Familiarity with maintenance management software and systems
- Experience with mobile crane operation and maintenance
- Certification in first aid and fire safety
Preferred Skills
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends
- Willingness to travel to different locations as required
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record
