We are seeking a skilled and experienced Crane Field Service Engineer to join a dynamic and growing team. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in servicing and maintaining mobile, port and crawler cranes, ensuring optimal performance and reliability.
Responsibilities
- Conduct routine maintenance, inspections, and repairs on mobile and crawler cranes around the UK and Ireland to ensure safe and efficient operation.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical or hydraulic issues, implementing timely and effective solutions.
- Perform upgrades, modifications, and installations as required to enhance crane performance and functionality.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to coordinate service activities and minimize downtime.
- Provide technical support and training to customers and onsite personnel to optimize crane operation and maintenance practices.
- Maintain accurate documentation of service activities, including work orders, inspection reports, and equipment records.
Qualifications
- Minimum of NVQ Level 3 or equivalent qualification in Mechanical, Electrical, or Hydraulic Engineering discipline.
- Proven experience working with mobile and crawler cranes.
- Strong knowledge of crane systems, including mechanical, electrical or hydraulic components.
- Industry certifications or tickets related to crane maintenance and operation (e.g., CPCS, NPORS, IPAF).
- Excellent diagnostic and problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently and under pressure.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise professionally with clients and team members.
- Valid driver\’s license and willingness to travel to customer sites as required.
