Human Engineering is recruiting for a Crane Engineer / Heavy Plant Engineer to work on specialist lifting and heavy equipment in the Sheffield and South Yorkshire area. This role would suit someone with a background in cranes, heavy plant, piling equipment, foundation equipment, mobile machinery, hydraulics, diesel equipment or large mechanical systems. You do not need to have worked on one exact machine type. The key requirement is strong mechanical and hydraulic fault-finding ability, a good attitude and experience working safely around heavy equipment.
All applicants must have a minimum of NVQ level 3 or be time served apprentices as part of insurance requirements.
The role will involve:
- Service, maintenance and repair of specialist lifting and heavy plant equipment
- Fault finding on hydraulic, mechanical, diesel and electrical systems
- Working on large mobile or tracked machinery
- Carrying out planned maintenance and breakdown repairs
- Completing inspection sheets, service records and job reports
