About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Project Engineer with extensive experience in hydraulic systems to join our Aberdeen-based team. This role will focus on leading and delivering complex hydraulic engineering projects across offshore, subsea, and industrial sectors. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in hydraulic system design, project management, and technical problem-solving, ensuring high standards of quality, safety, and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Lead and manage the delivery of hydraulic engineering projects from concept to completion.
2. Provide expert technical support in hydraulic system design, installation, and commissioning.
3. Oversee system analysis, troubleshooting, and performance optimisation.
4. Act as the primary technical liaison with clients, suppliers, and internal stakeholders.
5. Ensure all projects comply with industry standards, health & safety regulations, and client specifications.
6. Prepare and review project documentation, including technical drawings, reports, and risk assessments.
7. Support the research and development of innovative hydraulic solutions.
8. Mentor junior engineers and provide technical leadership within the team.
9. Work both onshore and offshore as required to support project activities.

Key Requirements:

1. Degree or HNC/HND in Mechanical Engineering, Hydraulic Engineering, or related discipline.
2. Extensive experience in hydraulic system design, installation, and troubleshooting.
3. Strong knowledge of hydraulic components, fluid power principles, and control systems.
4. Proven track record in managing multiple complex engineering projects.
5. Proficiency in CAD software and technical drawing interpretation.
6. Familiarity with industry standards such as DNV, API, and ISO.
7. Strong leadership and mentoring skills.
8. Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
9. Effective communication and stakeholder management skills.
10. Offshore certification (desirable but not essential).
