About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Project Engineer with extensive experience in hydraulic systems to join our Aberdeen-based team. This role will focus on leading and delivering complex hydraulic engineering projects across offshore, subsea, and industrial sectors. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in hydraulic system design, project management, and technical problem-solving, ensuring high standards of quality, safety, and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the delivery of hydraulic engineering projects from concept to completion.
- Provide expert technical support in hydraulic system design, installation, and commissioning.
- Oversee system analysis, troubleshooting, and performance optimisation.
- Act as the primary technical liaison with clients, suppliers, and internal stakeholders.
- Ensure all projects comply with industry standards, health & safety regulations, and client specifications.
- Prepare and review project documentation, including technical drawings, reports, and risk assessments.
- Support the research and development of innovative hydraulic solutions.
- Mentor junior engineers and provide technical leadership within the team.
- Work both onshore and offshore as required to support project activities.
Key Requirements:
- Degree or HNC/HND in Mechanical Engineering, Hydraulic Engineering, or related discipline.
- Extensive experience in hydraulic system design, installation, and troubleshooting.
- Strong knowledge of hydraulic components, fluid power principles, and control systems.
- Proven track record in managing multiple complex engineering projects.
- Proficiency in CAD software and technical drawing interpretation.
- Familiarity with industry standards such as DNV, API, and ISO.
- Strong leadership and mentoring skills.
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Effective communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Offshore certification (desirable but not essential).
