Senior Project Engineer (Hydraulics) – Aberdeen 📍 Location: Aberdeen, UK 💰 Salary: Competitive + Benefits 🕒 Job Type: Permanent | Full-Time 📅 Start Date: ASAP About the Role: We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Project Engineer with extensive experience in hydraulic systems to join our Aberdeen-based team. This role will focus on leading and delivering complex hydraulic engineering projects across offshore, subsea, and industrial sectors. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in hydraulic system design, project management, and technical problem-solving, ensuring high standards of quality, safety, and efficiency. Key Responsibilities: ✅ Lead and manage the delivery of hydraulic engineering projects from concept to completion. ✅ Provide expert technical support in hydraulic system design, installation, and commissioning. ✅ Oversee system analysis, troubleshooting, and performance optimisation. ✅ Act as the primary technical liaison with clients, suppliers, and internal stakeholders. ✅ Ensure all projects comply with industry standards, health & safety regulations, and client specifications. ✅ Prepare and review project documentation, including technical drawings, reports, and risk assessments. ✅ Support the research and development of innovative hydraulic solutions. ✅ Mentor junior engineers and provide technical leadership within the team. ✅ Work both onshore and offshore as required to support project activities. Key Requirements: 🔹 Degree or HNC/HND in Mechanical Engineering, Hydraulic Engineering, or related discipline. 🔹 Extensive experience in hydraulic system design, installation, and troubleshooting. 🔹 Strong knowledge of hydraulic components, fluid power principles, and control systems. 🔹 Proven track record in managing multiple complex engineering projects. 🔹 Proficiency in CAD software and technical drawing interpretation. 🔹 Familiarity with industry standards such as DNV, API, and ISO. 🔹 Strong leadership and mentoring skills. 🔹 Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities. 🔹 Effective communication and stakeholder management skills. 🔹 Offshore certification (desirable but not essential).
